Doe wat nuttigs met Spam

Susi Quillinan, ontwerper van zogenaamde Ragcouture, heeft een mooie oplossing gevonden om iets nuttigs met alle spam berichten te doen die zij in haar mailbox aantreft:

“The Spam neck piece series are made from pieces of cotton fabric on which I typed the subject of various spam emails I received. The language of Spam is endlessly interesting and entertaining to me and as Spam has become such an unavoidable part of our modern world, I thought it was time to showcase this unique and very amusing vernacular. Perhaps neck pieces aren’t the most apt way to show off this intriguing dialect, but I enjoy the contrast between the aesthetics (which call to mind Elizabethan ruffs) and Spam, an expression of our modern day society. And this way you can enjoy the interesting turns of phrase without worrying about viruses! All Spam pieces come complete with incorrect spelling and grammar.
Warning: some spam phrases used in the pieces are not G rated.”

Haar werkt is te koop via Etsy. Ze maakt ook sieraden van bijzondere woorden, handgetypt, 1 woord per stofje. (foto via Beautiful Fall)
