My birthday in Stockholm started with the most gorgeous little bag by Acne Studios and a sweet card from my mother. I absolutely love both, and will show the bag to you later. Just like the previous two days, we first had a delicious breakfast at the hotels bar. I’m totally inspired to continue my yogurt+ tradition once I get home: rolled oats, sunflower seeds, goji berries and cranberries. Delicious!

Then we walked via Gamla Stan (B) to Sodermalm. Tip, try one of what we call in Dutch “negerzoenen”: marshmallow filling in a thick layer of dark chocolate with coconut on top (image above).

The beginning of Gotgatan is very nice to walk around. For coffee and  blueberry pie we went to MUGGEN (C), definitely one of my favorites places in Stockholm. A little further along the road you’ll find Inredning & Reda again, as well as Face, Filippa K, Granit, Designtorget and many other nice shops.

The more you’re walking south, Gotgatan becomes less attractive though. Following tips from other bloggers we turned left on Folkungagatan, to enter “SoFo” (South of Folkungagatan). We looked around at Material (D), a shop for DIY’ers. On Södermannagatan I saw a store called Grandpa (E) from the corner of my eye, also familiar from another blog. Walk in for a great combination of good quality clothing, leather accessories and beautiful vintage furniture, totally worth it! On Nyborgsgatan we enjoyed a very spacious store of Acne Studios (F), and a little further on the same road, we had a delicious and exquisite lunch at Urban Deli (G). Part restaurant, part deli. Super hip, so popular, so busy.

When walking back into the city, we climbed 160 steps to have a great view on Gamla Stan and Kungsholmen, even though it was pretty dark outside already. With a small detour we ended up at Regerieringsgatan where we walked through MOOD (H). In the middle of this popular shopping mall, we ate tapas style toasts at Boqueria, again a popular place to be.

Finally we walked back to the hotel (or in my case stumbled because my feet were pretty sore by then, even in my new Ecco boots) where we concluded the day and our short city trip to Stockholm with a beer and a cocktail (for the birthday girl, yeehh) at the trendy bar at our hotel, SGO café (I).

It was a great trip and I can’t wait to be blogging about all my new finds, experiences and discoveries next week(s). Until next time, beautiful city of Stockholm!
