Trend: threaded jewelryTuesday August 7 2012
Another jewelry trend are threaded necklaces and bracelets, sometimes referred to as friendship bracelets. These accessories are wrapped with thread to give them any color possible. And again, not that hard to recreate this trend, right?! Check out these tutorials by Studs and Pearls, Pretty Quirky Pants, I Still Love You, I Spy DIY, Honestly WTF, Boat People, New House Project and Crochet Clouds. Bracelet and/or necklaceWednesday July 4 2012
Gassan bracelet converted into necklace. This morning, when I actually had to hurry big time to get to work on time, I was still comfortably settled on my cough, reading the latest edition of Vogue NL Magazine. My eye was drawn instantly to this photo, and especially to this gigantic gold chain necklace: “Gassan bracelet with diamond in the closure EUR 20.538,-”. The price is absurd, but the idea of a bracelet worn as a necklace certainly inspires me. I already have a few potential candidates for transforming into a necklace on my mind…
B-Made Brass BraceletMonday July 2 2012
“Not Square” styled with Viktor & Rolfs Fairytales When I was in Amsterdam last Saturday, my dad bought me a gorgeous brass bracelet as a souvenir at Restored. The bracelet called “not square” is designed by the Dutch Bernadette van de Braak of B-Made and produced in Kathmandu, Nepal. I first saw her designs last time I was in the store, and I instantly loved them! I’m definitely putting her “not square” necklace on my wish list. Interested in where she gets her inspiration? Follow her on Tumblr or Facebook.

Read on and learn all about these pretty gems… Continue reading “Gorgeous pink gems”
